We are Namwanja Children's Home a registered Christian Community Based Organization striving
to providing a safe, loving, and supportive
Home for vulnerable children in need. Our goal is to empower young lives,
break cycles of poverty and neglect, and foster a brighter future for generations to come.
'Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them,
for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.' (Mark 10:14)
Our story began in 2021 with a vision to make a difference in
the lives of children who have been orphaned, abandoned, or affected by poverty.
We saw a need for a safe home where
children could find love, care, and support, and we were compelled to act.
We are caring for over 35 children from different background of painful life,
among those. We are sheltering and giving full care to 28 children raging from age 2- 16 years and the
most challenging part is full-filling their needs required per child.
Today, we are a Flourishing Home of children, caregivers, and supporters
who share a common goal: to provide a better life for children who need it most.
Every child deserves to grow up in a loving environment,
with access to food and clean water, quality education, healthcare, and opportunities for personal growth.
We are committed to creating a community that values compassion, empathy, and kindness.
Our team is dedicated to providing individualized care and
support, helping each child to reach their full potential.
Our main objectives are to provide psychosocial and physiological support, guidance and hope to
children who are orphaned, abandoned and poverty strickened. We are also passionate about introducing children to the love of Jesus. We're not just teaching them about God's love;
we're showing them what it means to live out their Faith in practical ways.
A world where every child experiences God's love, care, and protection, and grows to become a confident, compassionate, and Christ-like leader.
We rescue, care, educate, shelter and creating a self-sustaining generation of the vulnerable children by providing step down skills development, mobilizing communities towards self-independence, poverty eradication and economic sustainability
Compassion is at the heart of everything we do. Every child deserves to be loved, cared for, and treated with dignity and respect.
We strive to build bridges between our orphanage and the wider community, fostering relationships and partnerships that benefit everyone involved.
Sister Oliver joined us two years back, a single mother with a son,
a Christian Lady who loves Jesus and looks forward to serving Him the rest of her life.
She’s a selfless pure kind hearted Lady. All she has, is a heart for kids - With
hygiene and girl talk for our girls at the orphanage, we have the right person. They love her so much,
they so share a lot with her and they very good friends and call her Mama. She loves cooking, with a
lot of food to be prepared everyday.
She serves children in a variety of ways remembering that she is following in Christ's footsteps.
She doesn't seek a reward or serve only when it's convenient, or when she feels like it.
She understands that in serving children, she is serving the
Lord and children experience God's love through her.
