At Namwanja Children’s Home in Wakiso, Uganda,
one of the most powerful things we see is not just growth
in knowledge or skills — but growth in grateful hearts. Children who
have faced loss, hardship, and uncertainty arrive here and, through
God’s love and your support, begin to bloom with thankfulness that
touches everyone around them.
What Grateful Hearts Look Like Here?
Every morning and evening, the children gather for prayers. Their voices rise in songs of thanksgiving — not because life is perfect, but because they have a safe home, food on the table, and people who care.
• Mutesi, who dreams of becoming a banker, recently wrote in her journal:
“Thank you God for school fees and books. I will study hard so I can help
others like me one day.” Her grateful heart fuels her determination in class.
• The younger ones light up when they receive new uniforms or scholastic
materials. They don’t just wear them — they take extra care of them, folding
them neatly and proudly showing them off. “Auntie, look! Now I can go to school like everyone else. God bless the people who helped!”
• Even after a simple meal of posho and beans, you’ll hear spontaneous prayers: “Thank you for this food. Thank you for this home.”
These moments remind us that gratitude is a fruit of the love and support poured into their lives — including yours.
How Your Support Cultivates Grateful Hearts?
When you donate, you’re not only meeting a practical need. You’re planting seeds of hope that grow into hearts full of thanks:
• Education donations help clear school fees so children can learn without worry and focus on becoming all God created them to be.
• Daily care ensures they have food, clothing, and medical attention — basic things that restore dignity and spark joy.
• Mentorship teaches them to turn their gratitude into action: helping younger children with homework, sharing what they have, and praying for their sponsors by name.
We believe a grateful heart is a powerful testimony. These children are learning that even in difficult circumstances, they can choose thankfulness — and that thankfulness opens doors to brighter futures.
We’ve seen it happen. Children who once felt forgotten
are now writing letters of thanks, performing well in school, and dreaming of
careers that will glorify God and serve others. Your partnership is helping raise
a generation marked by resilience and gratitude.
Thank you for helping us raise children who know they are loved, valued, and seen by God and by His people. Because of you, their hearts are full — not just of food or books, but of hope and gratitude.
“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.” (Psalm 136:1)
